Ye are the light of the world
!
Every word of God is true. The Bible from cover to cover is the Word of God. If God said it, I believe it and that settles it.
2. There are 3 persons in one
God
This is called the doctrine of the
Trinity. In the Godhead, there are 3 distinct personages; the Father, the Son
(Jesus Christ) and the Holy Ghost.
KJV 1 John
5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven,
the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
God is still preached as the one God
Gal. 3:20 ---but God is one.
Jesus
proclaims his own deity:
KJV John 8:58 Jesus said
unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
As the Son or Word, he makes Himself equal with God
KJV John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word
was with God, and the Word was God. There are clear references to the three
persons of the Godhead in the NT. All three are mentioned at the baptism of
Jesus
Matt 3:16 KJV And Jesus, when he was baptized,
went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him,
and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17
And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well
pleased. The disciples are to baptize in the name of Father, Son, and Holy
Ghost
Matt 28:19 (KJV) Go ye therefore, and teach
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of
the Holy Ghost:
The developed Pauline blessing
includes the grace of the Son, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy
Ghost
2Cor 13:14 KJV The grace of the Lord Jesus
Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, [be] with you
all. Amen.
Reference is made to the election of the
Father, the sanctification of the Spirit, and the sprinkling of the blood of
Jesus Christ in relation to the salvation of believers.
1Pet 1:2 KJV Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father,
through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood
of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
3. The will of God is for you to
prosper!
3Joh 1:2 KJV Beloved, I wish
above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul
prospereth.
Psalm 35:27 KJV Let them shout for
joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually,
Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his
servant.
Based on these scriptures and others it is
evident that God's will for his people is prosperity.
